Dr. Lightsider

Doctor at the UFL hospital. Dr. Lightsider is, by all appearances, a normal human being. However, this is a deliberate illusion, as he is actually a cursed warrior from the warring states era of Japan. Lightsider was cursed by the Kami for using forbidden powers in attempting to rescue his family and his love. In the process of battling his former Lord, Lightsider destroyed the castle where his loved ones were being held. Lightsider's curse is twofold. He was given immortality so that he may never know the peace of death. He was also cursed so that he may never look upon any woman with any measure of beauty without feeling faint of heart. Termed "kawaii sensitivity", it usually manifests in the doctor losing consciousness in the presence of a cute humanoid female. However, the Kami were, in some measure, merciful, and also granted him powers of Light, and wings of the same so that he might help those around him. Also, he has managed to obtain a pair of enchanted glasses that enables him to interact normally with the women around him.

Tohru Mizuno

Nurse at the UFL hospital. Nurse Mizuno is one of the few non-Rei nurses at the Hospital. Cute and typically happy, she's formed a special bond with Dr. Lightsider. Nurse Mizuno also appears to be a normal human being, except that her floor-length hair is a deep blue in color. She also has displayed wings and the ability to fly, although her wings are ethereal in nature, and require Lightsider's help to make them material and able to bear her weight. Tohru's relationship with Lightsider is rapidly turning romantic. However, for some reason Lightsider's kawaii sensitive condition is greatly magnified when it comes to Nurse Mizuno. An unprotected glance of Tohru is all it takes for Lightsider to be rendered completely and instantly catatonic.

Shadowdancer Duskstar

Mage-Knight of the CoM. Shadowdancer is a powerful elfin sorceress, who appears almost human, but for the fact she has long, pointed ears, four fingers, is shorter than normal, and has a luminous blue gem set in her forehead. Shadowdancer is also an artist, employed by Splice Star Technologies Inc., where her chimerical drawings are given life through enchanted technology and advanced genetic manipulation. She is also a mononoke, a spirit made flesh, bound to the Moon Kami, Tsukiyomi-no-mikoto. It is through this particular association that Shadow derives most of her power. Shadowdancer met Lightsider and Tohru as they were attempting to escape from CoM custody. Since then she has been preoccupied by Lightsider, for some inexplicable reason.

Head Nurse Meagen

The leader of the United Fangirls of Largo-sama and the Head Nurse and administrator of the UFL Hospital. Meagen has set up the Hospital to be a neutral faction among the constantly battle-ridden clans. Meagen is cheerful, if a bit mischievous, and occasionally adds her own disruptions through the clans in the form of pranks. Under stressful situations, she usually uses humor to defuse an otherwise grim scene. However, Meagen is also adept at combat, and has proven she can battle with the best when push comes to shove. Interestingly enough, Meagen is in love with the leader of the YLF, Draegos.

Draegos

The leader of the Yuki Liberation Front. Unpredictable, and the penultimate fanboy, Draegos worships Yuki as his ideal, and also seeks to protect her from those who might hurt her, whether intentionally or no. However, behind his volatile exterior lies the heart of a true gentleman, and the soul of a romantic. Although his actions have put him on the top of the hit list of nearly every single faction in Megatokyo, his charm and boyish good looks have insured that he only gets this animosity from the men of the clans. Despite his antics, however, he is devoted to Head Nurse Meagen.

Will Trent

Although not a Largo fanboy in the strictest sense, Will Trent works as a doctor at the UFL Hospital. He was hired on a short time before Lightsider left the UFL Hospital on enforced “vacation.” He has acquitted himself well in the stressful role as doctor, and displays a very powerful ability to heal. His origins and the source of his healing abilities are currently unknown.

Rei Nurses

Specialized medical genebuilds based on the more common "EVA Pilot" Rei Ayanami variant, the MedAyanamis are the UFL's major source of womanpower at the Memorial Hospital. Acquired by means not readily apparent as an emergency measure to cope with the sudden influx of wounded fanboys during the original Fanboy Wars, the MedAyanamis have become an indispensable part of the UFL Memorial Hospital's operations.

Standard "Nurse Rei" MedAyanamis all wear the UFL Memorial Hospital uniform and come with a typically aloof and distant personality, thought their empathy and compassion as healers and caregivers cannot be dismissed.

Most interestingly, these simplified personalities' constant exposure to masses of obsessive fanboys coupled with their continuing acting and experiencing beyond the limits of their original purpose has begun to affect them, and some of the MedAyanamis have begun to distinguish themselves as individuals.  Some of the more prominent Reis include:

IntelliAyanami

IntelliAyanami is the UFL Hospital's head staff officer, in charge of the more mundane day-to-day operations of the UFL and its Memorial Hospital. As her name suggests, “Intelli” as she is often referred, is massively intelligent and a capable administrator. Although she can be stern, she is very concerned about the staff that serve under her.

 Rei "Washuu-chan" Ayanami

The UFL's consultant on all matters scientific and technological. Happy to flaunt her massive intellect and yet never condescending, Washuu manages to somehow simultaneously be an energetic child and wise mother-figure.

Rei "Nabiki-chan" Ayanami

The UFL's financial administrator and the source of most of the organization's capital (though as their own webpage notes the means used to acquire these funds can run from the unorthodox to the unspeakable). Cutely devious and frighteningly intelligent.

 BGMaster

As the absolute head of the Church Of Miho, BGMaster draws considerable power from the church's master tome, the Necrowombicon. In this capacity the subject commands extensive dark power which he may command for any number of tasks – producing poltergeistic effects, shaping and transforming matter, instantaneously transporting himself and others over great distances, and focusing raw destructive energy for offensive purposes.

His power over human beings seems to be far more limited in scope, however, and while he can inflict substantial harm to an opponent directly, the more esoteric applications of his "dark power" seems to resist affecting an unwilling target. Effectively, while BGMaster can wield considerable destructive power against an opponent, he cannot command control over any living being's mind or body against their will. Nonetheless, BG Master is the single most powerful member of the Church Of Miho. He like all other Church members is effectively a dark mage, simply one who draws his power from an exterior source.

Kamida Mahou

Unaffiliated Piroist. Mahou is a friend of, and currently serves as spiritual advisor to Dr. Lightsider. A miko, or Shinto priestess in appearance,  Mahou seems to have a preternatural ability to know when Lightsider is unhappy or “angsty”, and also seems to know when to come to his aid as a confidant. Mahou is able to command considerable magics at will, but seems to prefer to use them to help people. Mahou is also able to assume a tiny, strangely childlike and disproportionate form she calls her “chibi” form. This form allows her to sometimes sit on Lightsider’s shoulder while she hears him out.
