Amaterasu Goddess of the Sun in Shinto belief. Cave of Evil, CoE A rave hall that comprises the first floor of the Church of Miho. The site of large, popular raves in honor of Miho. CPAE Serum Concentrated Piro Art Essence. Developed by Washuu-Rei at the UFL Hospital. This serum acts as both an accelerated healing agent and an anesthetic. It can be custom tailored for greater effectiveness on different types of fanboys/girls. Dom/Shirt Guy Dom Story writer and editor for the Megatokyo online comic. Dom is also sometimes called upon to “fill in” for Fred Gallagher when he is on vacation, ill, or otherwise indisposed. He has a reputation for sadism, however, due to the fact that he invariably does this with stick-figure comics. The sight of these are so diametrically opposite to the excellent quality of Fred’s artwork that it is reputed to make fans of Megatokyo wish to claw their eyes out. Of course, this is all said in fun. Mostly. Fanboy/girl Generic term for a fan of anime/manga. In the context of this book, devotees of the Main Characters of Megatokyo. Largo One of the Main Characters of Megatokyo. Largo is a hardware and gaming fanatic, who sees zombies and evil everywhere. He is on a self-appointed mission to destroy evil in all it's forms, wherever he goes. Megatokyo Popular online comic created by Fred Gallagher. Also, the name of a fictional city partially based on, and located in the same place as, Tokyo, Japan, that is based on his works. Miho One of the Main Characters of Megatokyo. Miho is a high school student, and a goth. She has, however, been suggested to hold arcane powers by use of a book called the Necrowombicon. She also seems to have a mysterious medical condition that causes her to occasionally faint. Piro One of the Main Characters of Megatokyo. Piro is an artist and fan of anime and Manga. He frequently has trouble with real life relationships, however. Rei; Ayanami Rei Usually refers to the clones of Ayanami Rei that work in the UFL Hospital as it's main contingent of nurses. Ayanami Rei is a main character in the popular Japanese manga and anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Reis are typically thin, with short, blue hair and somewhat cold personalities. SGD Serum The diametric opposite of CPAE. This serum is distilled from “Shirt Guy Dom” stick figure comic strips. Causes extreme pain and the tendency to claw one’s eyes out. Luckily, eye regeneration is an established procedure at the UFL Hospital. Currently being evaluated for banning under the Geneva convention. Yuki One of the Main Characters of Megatokyo. Yuki Sonoda is the daughter of MTCD Inspector Masamichi Sonoda (See entry for “Megatokyo Cataclysm Divison” in Appendix B.) Sweet and innocent, Yuki met Piro accidentally when he left his sketchbook in a bookstore she was in. In returning the book to Piro, she developed a crush on him.
